Association for Information Technology Professionals (AITP)
What is AITP?
AITP is a professional organization for students who are interested in computer information systems. The organization also has many professional chapters nationwide. Watch for AITP's membership drives at the start of the fall and spring semesters!
Why should I join?
AITP has an active chapter with over forty members (as of Spring 2001). Members typically join to be affiliated with a professional computing organization, to receive Inside AITP magazine, and to attend social events (including field trips). AITP also sponsors interview parties, and schedules many informative talks by computer professionals. Membership costs $30 per year as of this writing. (See http://uwf.edu/aitp/ for the most recent information.)
How can I join?
Visit the official UWF AITP website for more information and the current schedule. AITP's chapter advisor is Dr. John Coffey, so check his door for membership applications, or e-mail him (email@example.com) if you have questions.
